Introduced to SCF fleet in 2017, IVAN GUBKIN is a modern, super high-ice class*, 14-streamer 3D/4D seismic vessel. Built in 2012 to the ULSTEIN SX 134 design and incorporating the innovative ULSTEIN X-BOW® hull, the vessel combines the latest developments in maritime systems with the advanced seismic technology. The vessel is also amongst the most environmentally sound seismic vessel in the market with diesel-electric propulsion & high specification catalytic convertors, double hull and advanced ballast water treatment/bilge water cleaning systems. The vessel comply with the stringent DNV CLEAN DESIGN notation and has Triple-E (Environment, Energy, and Efficiency) certification.

«IVAN GUBKIN» is capable of towing 14 streamer configuration 8 000 m long. The width of fully deployed in-water configuration reaches 1.8 km – a record in modern marine seismic operations. Such impressive coverage allows carrying out considerable projects within a tight time frame. Q-Marine (by Western Geco) adopted to Russian shelf data acquisition allows most advanced survey methods to be applied.
